Bihac is situated in Una-Sana Canton, in the northwest part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the border between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, very close to the Plitvice Lakes. Bihac lays on the communications that you can use in order to reach the Adriatic coast very fast. Split is only 3 and a half an hour away from Bihac, and it takes you only an hour and a half with a car to get to Senj and Zadar.
This is a town with rich history, an economic and cultural center of Una-Sana Canton. One of the most beautiful and the cleanest rivers in Europe runs through our area, named by the Ancient Romans. Having seen the beauty of the Queen of the rivers, they gave her the name that she has rightfully borne until today: "Una- one and the only".
Our area is a region of karsts relief, rich with springs and wells, with numerous karsts caves, and even richer flora and fauna, a very rare example of ecologically completely preserved biodiversity. In this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina are many archeological and historical traces of Japod's settlements, built just above the Una's surface.
Our scuba divers come across the traces of this culture even today, and these locations are almost unique in Europe.
To its quests, Bihac offers possibility of accommodation in several hotels, and in a great number of suites, motels and auto-camps.
